Monograms are a growing trend in wedding themes. I definetly wanted to incorporate them somehow but didn’t want to make the letter “M” my trend. After many attempts at PhotoShop, I opted to pay $15 for three monograms from Creative Montage. They did a great job–check my monograms out.

I really really LOVE the garters I listed below from etsy, but this weekend my mom and I found the garter she wore and I am considering making it my something blue (it could double as something old and borrowed too). Here’s a picture…
I’m thinking that I could get it dry cleaned, add a little more beading in the front, and put some monograms in it. I could put my parents wedding date and then mine and Marks’. That way, it could truly be an heirloom!

Garters! I still have ten months to plan my wedding, but I tend to want to check off some of the little things on my list. As of now, I have three options for my garter. I want it to count as my “something blue” and also for it to be something original. When I think of original, my mind goes straight to etsy. I’ve always been a little OCD with creating to do lists. I love the feeling of crossing off an item on my list. With wedding planning, it seems like the lists are never ending. The current list I’m working on is everything I need from the florists….Here’s what I got so far.

My fiance and I wanted an outdoor wedding (even though I am scared to death that it will rain!). We looked at places all over East Tennessee and finally decided on Ridge Valley Farms. It’s a gorgeous location that we can have the ceremony and reception at. Here are some pictures I took on our first visit.

There’s not too much about me or the wedding I’m planning that’s traditional. The overall theme I’m going for with the wedding is modern, fun, and funky but I still want a few traditional items thrown in. One tradition I would like to keep is having a white cake.

AWESOME! I am so freakin’ excited right now. There are tons of sites out there where ya’ll (or your photographer) can create a wedding album with a hefty price tag attached. However, blurb.com is a great place to download (for free) a program to create your own wedding or engagement album. If you’re feeling extra spicy, you can put your boudoir pictures in it for a wedding present for your man.
The albums come in square, standard landscape, standard portrait, and an extra large landscape. The cheapest one is a square, soft cover album with up to 40 pages that starts at $12.95! You can put up to 12 images a page, so hypothetically you could have a book with over 450 of your images in it.
